About our sources

TravelRecs builds its guides from publicly available discussions on platforms such as Reddit, Facebook groups, and other public travel forums. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Reddit Inc., Meta Platforms, or any specific community, group, moderator team, or individual contributor we reference. Quoted or paraphrased material is attributed to its originating post and community wherever the guide references it, and we link back to the source thread or post where a stable link is available.

We do not claim that a cited post or thread reflects the official position of any community, group, or platform — only that it reflects a pattern of independent, publicly posted opinion at the time the guide was researched. If you contributed to a post we've cited and would like your comment removed or the attribution corrected, contact us at hello@travelrecs.co and we'll act on it promptly.

Accuracy & updates

Recommendations reflect publicly posted opinion as of each guide's "last reviewed" date, not real-time availability, pricing, or opening hours. Always confirm details directly with the operator or platform before booking.

Privacy Policy

TRVL SAS (see Legal Notice above) is the data controller for the processing described here, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable French data protection law.

Data we collect. TravelRecs does not collect personal data through any form or user account. If you email us at hello@travelrecs.co, we process your email address and message content solely to respond to your request. Like any website, our host may generate standard technical connection logs (IP address, date, page visited) necessary for the security and operation of the service.

Cookies. The site currently sets no analytics or advertising cookies. If we add one in the future, you'll be shown a consent banner before any non-essential cookie is set. Links to our booking partners redirect you to their own sites, which apply their own, independent cookie policies.

Retention. Emails we exchange with you are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted.

Your rights. You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data, and to object to its processing, which you can exercise at any time by writing to hello@travelrecs.co. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, France's data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
